How to achieve a living style in a featureless villas area? According
to the floor plan analysis the interior space is organized around
the central hall, like relation of the five figures with the palm
of the hand. The concept is to make each space totally different
and create a visual connection between them.
Swissnex Shanghai | Shanghai | 2007
Swissnex shanghai is Switzerland's outpost for science, technology
and culture in China. In August 2007 it will be located next to
the consulate general of Switzerland in Shanghai.
In the design process we integrated the architectural logic with
design sensibility, to arrive at rational conclusions by carefully
considering and evaluating the evidence available.
A big and flexible functional space is divided by a curved screen
into 2 areas: public space for workshops, conference, exhibitions
and reception, behind the screen is friendly working space also
with a high flexibility for 7 to 14 workers. The screen flowing
between ¡®public¡¯ and ¡®private¡¯ is the sensitive element plugged
into the interior. The special attraction of this screen is its
visual animation while you pass through.
EXH Working Space | Shanghai | 2007
The most impressive qualities of this Loft, which is on the 16th
floor, are the grand view towards Pudong, the clear height of 5.3
meters, and its large, open space. To create an efficient office
space, we intended to change as little of the interior as possible,
while simultaneously creating as sophisticated a working atmosphere
as we could achieve.
The interior design reveals an emotionally sensitive and successful
concept which contrasts to the cubic glass exterior of the building.
Riverlake office interior | Shanghai | 2007
Riverlake, is a shipping company from Geneva and has established
its Shanghai office this year.
In this 100 sq. meter office we utilized partial glass walls to
make the space sensuously wide and open. With the intention of maintaining
the company¡¯s culture and image, the principle interior elements
are taken from the Riverlake headquarters in Geneva. But to our
credit we have modified some elements to incorporate the Chinese
environment that it is set in.
Interior Design for 2 apartments | Beijing
| 2007
In collaboration with FAKE DESIGN
Different from western painting, in Chinese traditional painting
the artist proceeds with light touches only where necessary. The
rest is left to blankness. These elements put together compose the
concept of the painting. We were inspired by this traditional wisdom
and treated the architectural space as a whole by doing only partial
changes.
The interior space is divided into two levels: the 9th and 11th
floors. Both apartments have a size of about 600 m2, but the clear
height is only 3 meters. Both apartments express a magnificence
and uniqueness of artistic space, and a free living style attitude.
